The front entry of this Urban Resort is reimagined as a welcoming gathering space beneath the canopy of the existing tree. A wall‑mounted timber bench with subtle LED underlighting creates a warm, evening glow, while paving that echoes the home’s original tiles ties the space back to the architecture. A raised corner planter adds privacy and structure, using bold mass planting to strengthen the street presence and frame the approach to the home.
In the courtyard, the design shifts toward low‑maintenance elegance by replacing turf with a resilient ground cover and introducing bands of paving for flexible use—whether relaxing or entertaining. Most of the existing hedging is retained for softness and enclosure, while a large round planter becomes the focal point of the space. An olive tree or vibrant crepe myrtle offers height, colour, and a resort‑like feel, completing a calm, contemporary outdoor retreat.
