A raised upper deck forms the heart of this Lakeview Resort, extending directly from the interior bar and entertaining area to create a generous indoor–outdoor living zone. Positioned to capture views over Lake Macquarie, the deck becomes a social hub with outdoor furniture, a firepit, and a partially open pergola draped in seasonal greenery. Its elevated vantage point also allows easy supervision of the level lawn and pool below, reinforcing the space as both functional and family‑friendly.

From the deck, a new staircase leads down to a safe, open lawn designed for kids to play, framed by a garden that didn’t previously exist on the site. Strong sandstone retaining and a vertical timber fence provide structure, privacy, and a refined street interface. A secondary staircase connects directly to Moani Street for visitor access, while the introduction of a tall palm species helps balance the home’s scale and brings a distinctly Australian coastal character to the arrival experience.
