Heritage reimagined

Designed for a heritage residence in Newcastle, this bespoke residential landscape seamlessly integrates a contemporary rear extension with the home's original character, creating a timeless outdoor environment for modern family living. The landscape strengthens the connection between architecture and outdoor living while respecting the heritage significance of the home.
A new square picket fence set on a sandstone base frames a limestone entry path leading to the original front porch. Layered coastal planting softens the structured frontage, while a secondary limestone path connects the garden to the driveway, carport and new side entry, creating a welcoming arrival sequence.
To the rear, elevated timber decking extends the home's living spaces into a series of connected outdoor rooms. An outdoor lounge is positioned between the residence and the gym/office, overlooking an open lawn that flows naturally to the pool beyond. Together, these carefully considered spaces create a refined landscape that balances heritage character with contemporary outdoor living, enhancing everyday life while adding lasting value to the property.
